In science the students were experimenting with oobleck. Oobleck is a substance that acts like both a liquid and a solid.
It's the end of the semester and the Welding class celebrates by firing up their rocket stoves and cooking up a second breakfast!
Last Friday night was the last home basketball game of the season. We celebrated all of the Senior Winter Sport athletes. Congratulations to all of the seniors and we would like to thank them for everything that they have done for our sports programs. Go Bulldogs!
Senior Karyss Pfeffer recently decided to attend Grand Canyon University next fall. She plans on studying Sports and Entertainment Management. She chose GCU because they have an outstanding business program with exciting internships. Plus the setting is beautiful, the community is welcoming, and it's warm. Go Antelopes!
Biology class is studying surface tension and practicing their lab skills in class this Friday.
Mini Cheer camp was a great success! Over 70 kids learned some dance moves and cheers and lead the crowd through the routine at half time of the girls game. Both varsity teams won their games vs Chewelah. Go bulldogs!
The final welding project of the semester has the students building rocket stoves. They each follow the general blueprint but do get to personalize their own stove.
The foods class is finishing off the first week back from break with Pizzas!
Saturday afternoon the Girls varsity got off to a great start and ended up beating Asotin by 27. Congratulations to Zane Edwards for scoring 1000 points in his career. He led the boys varsity team to a solid win in the nightcap.
The High School staff receives professional training every Wednesday before school starts. Here they are at their latest training in the newly revamped HS library. They are working on instructional strategies about progress trackers and assignment classification as part of the Modern Classroom Project.

On Monday we had our Holiday Sweater contest. Congratulations to Emily and Gabe! We also celebrated our winter sports athletes with an ASB assembly.
Art students are finishing up their candle projects and making other small projects to get ready for their Winter Break!
Foods class at KFHS has been making cinnamon rolls for the past two days. Mrs Tetrick always does an amazing job of welcoming students into her class!
Friday night Reardon visited Kettle Falls for our first league basketball game. The girls lost the opener but the boys started strong and held on to stay undefeated for the season. The pep band and the cheerleaders kept the crowd excited during 'Neon Night'.
The Winter Concert was terrific last night! The 8th concert band played and then the HS concert band and choir performed. The night was capped off with a performance by the HS percussion/advanced band students.
Student from the HS were a part of the student forums to help give input as we hire another security officer for the district.

Blessings come in many ways however, when it comes to feeding students and community a home cooked meal for Thanksgiving, it brings much joy to the Food service staff. Between all 3 schools and ELC we served approx.. 870 meals. We couldn’t be more proud of our kitchen staff and all of those who volunteered to help them serve up a wonderful Turkey lunch.
