ALL ROADS LEAD TO STATE! 🤼♂️
Huge shoutout to our incredible wrestlers heading to the State Championships today! These athletes have spent countless hours in the wrestling room, cut the weight, and put in the work—now it’s time to let it all out on the mat.
We are so proud of your dedication and heart. Go out there and show them what KFHS is made of!

Love is in the air—and in the Horticulture lab! 🌹✨
Our students channeled their inner florists last week for our Floral Design unit. They didn’t just stop at traditional greenery; they got creative by crafting handmade candy roses and building their own unique arrangements from the ground up! 🍭🌿
From learning the "sweet" science of assembly to mastering the balance and aesthetics of a professional bouquet, these Bulldogs are proving they have some serious talent.
Check out some of these incredible (and edible!) creations. We might have some future wedding planners and florists in our midst!

Future Eagles in the Building!
Our KFHS juniors and seniors took a step toward their future with an action packed visit to Eastern Washington University. 33 of our upperclassmen made the trip to Cheney to get a taste of college life. They met with Admissions, explored the Writing Center, and attended a mock lecture with an EWU professor. To wrap up the incredible day the group headed to the rink to cheer on the EWU hockey team.

It's National School Counselor week and we couldn't let I pass without showing some major love to our very own Paula Gormon! Whether she's helping students navigate graduation plans, offering listening ear during a tough day or just being a steady force in the halls of KFHS, Paula goes above and beyond for our community every day! We are lucky to have her.

🚀 Future-Focused & FFA Proud! 🚀
Our Kettle Falls FFA chapter was out in full force at the Spokane Ag Expo! We took 29 motivated members to explore the massive world of Agriculture, from local family businesses to major national industry leaders.
This wasn't just a field trip—it was a front-row seat to future career paths! Our students spent the day networking with professionals and getting a first-hand look at the technology and trades that drive our economy. 🚜🌾
Seeing our students practice their DAWGS values of Grit and Passion for Purpose in a professional setting makes us so proud. The future of Ag is looking bright!

Big win for the team! 🏆 Our trap shooters took home 3rd Place this past Saturday at the Pullman shoot. It was a crowded field with 25 squads competing, but our shooters stayed locked in. Way to represent! 🎯💥

🌟 State Bound! 🌟
Our Kettle Falls FCCLA chapter rocked the Region 10 STAR Events in Spokane yesterday! We are so proud of these students for their hard work and professional excellence:
🏆 Karlee Anderson – Job Interview (State Qualifier!) 🏆 Cheyenne Mullins & Gen Zavala – Repurpose and Redesign (State Qualifiers!)
A huge shoutout to our very own State Officers, Adrianna Ericksen and Gen Zavala, for doing a fantastic job hosting the event, and to Jory Fields and Sage Wallis for representing KFHS as volunteers.
Congratulations to everyone for their success! We can’t wait to see you shine at the State competition in March!

Pinned to the mat! What a night in the gym. Our wrestlers went head to head in a high stakes dual meet against Newport and walked away with an important 48-36 victory! It came down to grit, technique, and some early clutch pins. Every point mattered and the energy from the crowd was electric.

"I have a dream..." ✋✨
This week, our Leadership Class brought Dr. King’s powerful vision to life right here in the KFHS Commons!
To honor MLK Day, every student was invited to trace their hand and write down a dream they have for their future, their community, or the world. Our Leadership team then transformed these hundreds of individual dreams into a massive, colorful display of hope and unity. 🤝🌎
From career goals to wishes for a kinder world, our walls are now covered in the voices and aspirations of our student body. It’s a beautiful reminder that while our dreams are unique, we’re all working together toward a brighter tomorrow❤️

Our Animal Science students are getting up close with the unseen world around us. This unit they are microbial detectives, swabbing various surfaces across the school. Now they are growing their bacterial samples in Petri dishes, observing first hand the diverse microscopic life we share our environment with!

Sparking some high voltage creativity in Physical Science class!
Freshmen took their knowledge off the page into the lab proving that science is best when it's hands on. Check out our future engineers in action.

Building the blocks of life! 🧬🍎
Our Biology students aren’t just reading about science—they’re building it! This week, we took a deep dive into the world of macromolecules, focusing on the energy-packed duo: carbohydrates and lipids.
To see exactly how these "giant molecules" fit together, students got hands-on with 3D modeling kits. By physically snapping together carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms, they explored the magic of chemical bonding and saw how simple sugars transform into complex energy sources! 🍬➡️🔋
It’s one thing to see a formula on a whiteboard; it’s another to hold a molecule in your hands! 💡🧪

Our Weights classes just got a major upgrade thanks to some talented and hard working students. A huge shout out to our student builders who spent their time in shop class designing and constructing brand new plyometric boxes! Next time you're in the Weight room, takes look at these custom builds. Go Bulldogs!

While most students are relaxing after lunch these three individuals are already behind the scenes making a difference. Ben, Sky, and Kamren volunteer their time to support our hardworking kitchen staff. This is a perfect example of what it means to be a part night KFHS community-showing up for others and lending a hand where it's needed. Join us in giving a huge thank you to these young men!

Winter Spirit is peaking at KFHS! From the roar in the stands to the intensity on the floor, our students truly brought the heat. The class completions of building a gingerbread house from cardboard boxes that had to hold a classmate to present tossing and relay races highlighted the day. Thank you ASB and Leadership for organizing the high energy event to celebrate our school community!

Deck the Halls! KFHS door decoration Challenge. Our hallways have been transformed into a winter wonderland! Students volunteered to decorate their teachers doors with the theme of turning a movie/show into Christmas. Drop a comment on your favorite!

The Sounds of the Season! Our KFHS musicians, singers, and performers put in an incredible effort at the Winter Concert and it was a memorable evening of music for our community.

KFHS gives a big thank you to our community! The FFA chapter's annual Christmas wreath fundraiser was a huge success, and it's all thanks to your incredible support! Our students showed amazing Grit and Effort crafting those beautiful wreaths, and the community responded in force! Every purchase helps fund their essential leadership programs and competitive events.
