1st, 2nd, and 4th Grade students recently travelled to Usk, Washington to the Camas Center for Wellness to have an indoor swimming adventure. They had a lot of fun swimming, sliding, and splashing around while learning to be safe in water!
An Easter tradition, students in every grade level helped dye easter eggs for the Lady Lion’s Annual Kettle Falls Easter Egg Hunt. These photos show the great dyeing space created by teachers for their second grade students and some of the final product!
Bubbles & Chalk Character Celebration - Ms. Munds' Kindergarten class has been working for the past couple weeks to earn "responsible points" for a bubble and sidewalk chalk party. Check out all the fun in the sun that they had when they earned their points!
After School Dance students showcased their own dance steps in a final performance. Dance continued after Christmas break again this year giving students the opportunity to further grow their skills and do student choreography. Video of the performance is now available for family viewing on our Kettle Falls Elementary School Youtube channel.
April is Autism Awareness month! Once again, Kettle Falls Elementary was challenged to be more understanding and including of students with Autism. We see past the label and LOVE your true colors!

Spring has Sprung! 2nd Grade students have worked hard to encourage pollinators to come to our school. Previously, they cleaned flowerbeds and planted seeds and bulbs. Now, we can all enjoy the flowers! What is blooming in your yard?
A student brought their pet tarantula for a show and tell visit. This sparked a lot of interest from students! What kind of pets do you have?
"4th Grade Science Happenings” Students studied how to complete a closed electrical circuit for the first time and discovered that it will take BOTH batteries together to complete the circuit. Students also studied and constructed wind turbines.
Did you wear green last Friday 🍀? Students celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with dressing up and fun learning activities. We played games like counting/graphing lucky charms, and completing teacher directed leprechaun drawings. 🌈
All aboard! 4th Grade students hiked from Gifford campground to the Gifford-Inchelium Ferry on their last Adventure. They rode the ferry both directions and then hiked back to the campground for more exploration.
"Painting Happy Thoughts" One of the families in our school donated two drop cloth canvases and the acrylic paint for students in CREW Club to paint “happy thought” images for display at a celebration of life. 2nd Grade students, and some 1st Graders too, sketched ideas on paper and then painted them on the canvases. Students were very excited about the project to both paint their ideas and do something thoughtful for the community!
🍔🍕🌮🍗 It's always fascinating to hear what our little ones enjoy for lunch! 🥪 From chicken patty sandwiches to pizza, taco salad, cheeseburgers, and chicken drumsticks, it seems like we have quite the variety of tastes in our 2nd grade community! 😋 Huge shoutout to our kitchen heroes, Lesa and Kristin, for serving up these delicious meals with a smile every day! Your hard work and positivity truly make a difference in our students' days. Keep up the fantastic job! 👩🍳👩🍳
3rd Grade students are learning about where different fruits grow around the world and why. The students have been analyzing tons of data and organizing it in graphs.
Kindergarten had a great hiking/exploration Adventure down at Old Kettle Park. On their first longer hike, students showed great stamina and enthusiasm.
Brush, Brush, Brush - Colville Pediatric Dentistry sent one of their hygienists to teach students at the Elementary School how to take care of their teeth. They also talked about what food and drink can cause cavities and gum disease. Some of the students dressed up as teeth, and other students got to act out how to brush the teeth. All students also received a tooth brush. Thank you Colville Pediatric Dentistry for caring about our students dental health.
The Elementary School's World's Finest Chocolate Sale was a huge success! So many students participated, many won cool prizes. Total sales over just one week were $23,166.00. Thank you community for supporting our school. This will allow us to continue doing activities like adventure, providing crew shirts to all students, and our Spring Play Days.
Kettle Falls Elementary students are receiving many cool prizes for participation in our annual Chocolate Sale. The chocolate sale helps fund our Adventure program, t-shirts for all students, and many other student activities. We are very grateful for the community's support of our schools!
Students love to celebrate the 100th day of school. Teachers plan many fun learning activities and students develop their understanding for the meaning and place value of 1’s, 10’s, and 100’s. Now, we are 100 days smarter!
The Elementary was a hub of Valentine’s Day activities on February 14th. Many students had Valentine gifts delivered to the office - balloons and stuffed animals were everywhere! All the grades had activities, parties, and sharing of Valentine's to celebrate.
