What is Transition to Kindergarten? Transition to Kindergarten is a free, full-day Kindergarten readiness program designed to help children build a solid foundation for school success through play-based learning. This program provides opportunities for students to grow in areas such as pre-reading, pre-writing, early numeracy, and social skills. Who is eligible? To be eligible for this program, children must: * Be 4 years old on or before August 31st, 2024, and will be entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2025 * Demonstrate academic and/or social needs * Not have been previously enrolled in an early learning program Once all screenings are complete, classroom enrollment will be finalized, and you will be contacted regarding whether your child is in the program or on the waiting list. The Kettle Falls High School annual "Clash of the Arts" will be held, May 30, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the high school commons. The theme for the evening is "Medieval Fantasy." Come see what students in the art, band, choir, foods, textiles and shop classes have been working on. You also will have the opportunity to vote on your favorite projects of the evening. On Saturday, April 20, 2024, Kettle Falls High School students attended the Fashion Industry Conference at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. At the conference students attended workshops on fashion industry topics including draping, fashion photography, and table displays. They also had the opportunity to compete. Austin LeCaire competed in Fashion Construction and Cheyenne Mullins competed in Repurpose and Redesign. Austin's custom t-shirt won the Fashion Construction competition.
