🇺🇸 Celebrating Independence Day at the ELC! 🇺🇸

We had a blast celebrating Independence Day at the Early Learning Center last week! Our preschoolers got creative and patriotic by making adorable flag t-shirts using their handprints — a sweet keepsake for families to treasure.

Our school-age kiddos learned about the history of Independence Day and why we celebrate this important holiday. They also made festive popsicle stick stars and confetti poppers and did a glow-stick dance to show their patriotic spirit!

Both classrooms participated in a red, white, and blue cooking activity and we ended the week with root beer floats!

It was a joyful week of learning, creativity, and red, white, and blue fun! 💥🎇🇺🇸

A sweet surprise on a sunny day! ☀️🍦 Our amazing first grade teachers arranged for Jimbo’s Ice Cream to treat students during our recent Park Day. The cold treats were the perfect way to stay cool and make the day extra special!

Kettle Falls Administrators Engage in Professional Learning Throughout the year, Kettle Falls School District administrators have been actively engaged in high-quality professional development to strengthen leadership practices, support staff, and improve student outcomes across all schools. District leaders have participated in a variety of training opportunities, including the AWSP Launching Leadership series, which supports and develops school leaders through learning focused on instructional leadership, time management, and systems thinking. Administrators have also attended Character Strong trainings, which emphasize cultivating positive school culture, fostering strong relationships, and embedding social-emotional learning into everyday practices. To cap the school year, in the final weeks of June, administrators participated in the AWSP/WASA Summer Conference and leadership coaching through The Breakthrough Coach. These ongoing professional learning experiences ensure that the Kettle Falls leadership team stays aligned, energized, and equipped to meet the evolving needs of our students, our school, and our community. Nice work team! Pictured left: KFES Principal Brennan McGee working with another administrator at AWSP Launching Leadership series.

It’s been a wild, wiggly, wonderful few weeks full of science, wonder, and lots of “whoa!” moments. 🪲❤️ #TinyScientists #PreschoolMagic #ChickWatch2025 #BugLife
