๐ŸŒŸ Exciting news from our classrooms! ๐ŸŒŸ Last spring, I applied to be part of a group of early learning educators participating in the Money Savvy program. This fall, we received our curriculum, and now our students are diving into fun, hands-on lessons about moneyโ€”how itโ€™s used, the importance of saving, and making smart choices! ๐Ÿ’ฐโœจ The best part? Each child will take home their very own piggy bank to continue their learning at home. ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ’ต Itโ€™s been amazing to see their excitement and understanding grow!

Room One at the ELC wrapped up their building unit with a sweet twist! ๐Ÿ—๏ธ Our students had a blast creating their own structures using marshmallows and toothpicks, testing to see if they could stay standing. ๐Ÿ โœจ This hands-on project helps our little learners develop problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork skills as they experiment and build. And of course, there were a few marshmallows enjoyed along the way too! ๐Ÿ˜‹ #BuildingFun #STEMlearning #MarshmallowChallenge #CreativeMinds

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Yoga & Relaxation at Kettle Falls Early Learning Center! ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ We are excited to introduce yoga as part of our daily routine at the Kettle Falls Early Learning Center! ๐Ÿซโœจ Transitioning to rest time can sometimes be a challenge for our little learners, so weโ€™ve incorporated simple, child-friendly yoga exercises to help calm their minds and bodies. Through gentle stretching, deep breathing, and fun poses like โ€œcat/cowโ€ and โ€œhappy baby,โ€ our students are learning valuable relaxation techniques. Not only does yoga help with winding down for rest time, but it also supports self-regulation, body awareness, and emotional well-being. โค๏ธ The results so far? Calmer transitions, happier kids, and a smoother rest time for all! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ค Plus, itโ€™s a great way for children to develop lifelong skills in mindfulness and relaxation. โœจ Free choice time is more than just playโ€”itโ€™s where learning comes to life! โœจ When children have the freedom to choose their activities, they build independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. It's also a perfect time for them to practice social interactions and explore their interests in a hands-on, meaningful way. ๐Ÿงฉ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿš‚ At KFELC, we empower little learners by giving them the space to discover and grow at their own pace. ๐ŸŒŸ

Drop-off is an important part of every studentโ€™s day! While some kids jump right in, others might need a little extra supportโ€”and thatโ€™s okay! At the ELC, our teachers are ready to meet each childโ€™s unique needs, whether itโ€™s a comforting hug, a preferred activity, or a moment of quiet connection. ๐Ÿ’• Many families find that special drop-off routines or rituals, like a secret handshake, a silly goodbye, or a fun song, make the transition easier and more enjoyable. Predictable routines help set the tone for a successful day! ๐ŸŒˆ
