KFMS has the best support staff! These ladies help the school run smoothly each and everyday. They are responsible for additional help in the classrooms, maintaining peace and safety on the playground, pulling students from class for small or individual work, making sure students get across the street in a safe manner, and any other job that needs an extra hand. They spend intentional time building relationships with all of the students by getting to know them on a personal level and have even been known to support the students at afterschool events! KFMS students are very lucky! Please help us thank them for their dedication!

Who really runs KFMS? Hang out for a couple of days and you'll know it's the secretaries! Stephanie and Jamie know it all and do it all! They make sure that the school runs smoothly and that all feel welcome. Please make sure to thank them for their kindness and everything that they do for the staff, students, and community the next time you stop by!

Students at KFMS spend two days a week in a 30-minute Advisory class. Teachers use the Character Strong curriculum to lead students through social and emotional topics. Today students in different grade levels spoke about stress, gratitude, emotions, items that are important to them and experiences in their lives where they had to persevere to learn something new. This week’s student Character Dare is to give an indirect compliment. This would be telling your teacher that they noticed how they had helped their friend learn something new. Try this out in your life and increase your compliments of those around you!

KFMS held their first assembly of 2024. We welcomed Sean Kelly as one of our new School Security Officers and students got to play dodgeball with their teachers. The sixth grade students won the class yell with “2030” as the loudest chant in the gym! Do you remember your class chant?

KFMS Students spent the last hour of the 2023 school year in activities throughout the building. They got to choose from BINGO, a Photo Booth, Spikeball, Christmas Treats, movies, Cornhole, art activities, hula hoop, board games, Twister, and card games. We hope that everyone has a great break from school.
