Our dedicated KFHS FFA Chapter is showcasing amazing Grit and Attitude & Effort this weekend as they craft and sell beautiful Christmas wreaths!

This annual fundraiser supports the students' travel to competitions, leadership development activities, and various FFA projects throughout the year. Every wreath sold helps these future agricultural leaders grow their skills and represent our school.

Our animal Science class just finished a "Pill Bug Lab" where they collected and interpreted data to see what types of environments pill bugs like best. This was a really fun project as the kids got hands-on practice with designing and running an experiment.

FFA took a trip to EWU for a football game earlier this fall. It was a great experience for our kids to visit campus and get a to watch a college game!

Kettle Falls Winter Concert – December 10th at 7:00 PM

The Kettle Falls Music Department is excited to invite our community to the 2025 Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 10th, at 7:00 PM in the Woodlands Theater. This special evening will feature performances by our middle school and high school music students, showcasing the growth, dedication, and talent they have demonstrated throughout the semester.

Families and community members will enjoy a variety of musical selections from our ensembles, and students are eager to share the progress they’ve made. Our musicians have been working hard in rehearsals to prepare a heartfelt and engaging performance for the community.

Location: Woodlands Theater (120 W 3rd Ave, Kettle Falls)

We encourage everyone to come out and support our young musicians. Your presence helps make these performances meaningful and memorable for our students.

Some of the students in our Welding class were working on the Stevens County Sheriff's offices' MRAP. The Special Response Team uses it in dangerous situations and our kids were installing light bars and pods to help them stay safe.

The seniors class spent some of their advisory time carving jack-o-lanterns for the community trick-or-treat. FCCLA hosted the annual Trick or Treat at the HS and there were hundreds of community members here for the event

Math is Cool went to two competitions, regionals at Mead High School 10/22/25 and state competition at Moses Lake High School 11/15/25

Regional competition outcomes:
Highest scorers from our school:
Adrianna Ericksen (Calculus)
Kara Wicks (Pre-Calculus)
Thea Cruden (Algebra II)
Charles Kelly (Geometry)

Thea Cruden also got 8th place in the Algebra II category (from ALL divisions.....including big/private schools)

9-10 grade team got 2nd place in our division
11-12 grade team got 1st place in our division

State outcomes:
Charles Kelly got 2nd place in our division for all Geometry students

A special thank you to Officer Stephens from the Sheriff's department who stopped by the KFHS Civics class. The classes just finished learning about the Bill of Rights. Officer Stephens spoke specifically about the 4th Amendment and had a great Q&A session. KFHS is grateful for our local law enforcement.

The Cross Country team had three members qualify for the state meet. The state meet is this Saturday in Pasco, good luck at state. Go Bulldogs!

🏃💨 GOOD LUCK at Regionals!

Friday was huge day for our Cross Country team! They are competing at the Regional Meet, the official qualifying event for the State 1B/2B Championships. 🏆

They've put in the miles, the time, and the heart. Now it's time to leave it all on the course! Congratulations to our three athletes that will be moving on to state!

It's Red Ribbon Week raising awareness to stay Drug Free. Some of the students and staff who have pledged to stay drug free gathered at the Pledge Dog. Go Bulldogs!

The Cross Country went to the Corn Maze for team building during practice. One group got lost in the maze but Coach Jones brought them all back and ready to go for Regionals on Friday the 31st. Go Bulldogs!

Do you enjoy tinkering with electronics? The Electronics Engineering Technology Program hosted an evening of free, fun, and hands on soldering projects. Three of our KFHS students enjoyed going with one of our Ag teachers to this career enhancing event.

The high school is observing Red Ribbon Week from October 27–31 to promote awareness and prevention of alcohol, tobacco, drug, and violence-related issues. To show your support, you can participate in RED OUT DAY on Thursday, October 30. Everyone is encouraged to wear red on that day to take a stand for a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Staff from KFHS took 9 students to the NewTech Trade fair. They had a chance to talk to large industries about job opportunities and a chance to use some of the equipment they had on hand.

On October 9th 6 forestry students went to the Indian Creek Community Forest in Pend Oreille to compete in a beginning of the year competition. This was a very laid back competition as they knew students had only had a month to practice. While there they competed in compass and pacing, map reading, timber cruising, tree identification, and tool identification. At each station there were experts who were able to explain the rules and give help as needed.

By competing our students got a chance to get a feel for the competitions while also getting a baseline they can use to see their growth in these skills over the year. Our goal is to build off what we learned over the last month and at the competition and be able to really compete at the next competition.

We are honoring Suicide Awareness Prevention this month at KFHS. Our students took the lead in making posters, raising awareness, and leading out in our assembly.

It's homecoming week and we are celebrating with class competitions and dress up days. Our pep assemblies are the highlight of the day.

KFHS Mini Cheer Camp performed before the Volleyball game. The campers spent days learning their cheers and the group dance! It was a great time led by the HS Cheer Squad.
