Small Actions, Lifesaving Impact: KFHS Blood Drive Success
The hallways of KFHS were buzzing with generosity during our recent school blood drive. Thanks to the selfless efforts of our students, faculty, and local community members, the event was a resounding success.
Together, our donors contributed 18 units of blood. Because a single pint of donated blood can be separated into multiple essential components—such as red blood cells, plasma, and platelets—this collective effort has the potential to save up to 54 lives in regional hospitals and trauma centers.
For many participating students, this drive marked their first time giving blood—stepping up to support emergency care, surgical patients, and cancer treatments in our area.
"Every single donation directly impacts patients in need. The turnout from KFHS shows what incredible support our community has for one another."
Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves, as well as the volunteers and organizers who helped the event run smoothly. Stay tuned for details on our next community drive later this school year!
