Kettle Falls Middle School

The Safety Team at KFMS is a dedicated group that meets monthly to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff. Comprising the Admin, Safety Officers, Building Secretary, Classroom Teacher, Behavior Teacher, and a Maintenance Supervisor, the team diligently reviews various safety aspects. Recent meetings have covered topics such as safety drills, accident reports, necessary building improvements, and addressing reported safety needs. Additionally, the team stays proactive by discussing safety kits for classrooms, the location of behavior support classrooms for the upcoming year, and other pertinent safety items. Recently, members attended a full-day "Drug in Schools" training in Spokane, led by a law enforcement officer, to learn about common drugs and indicators of drug use. This valuable information will be shared with staff to further enhance student safety efforts. The Safety Team's commitment to continuous improvement ensures that KFMS remains a safe environment for all.
