Student Led Conferences
Kettle Falls Middle School's innovative approach to parent-teacher conferences, known as Student Led Conferences, has been a great success for many years. During these conferences, students take the lead, guiding their parents through their best work, showcasing their accomplishments, and sharing their goals for improving their math and reading skills using iReady and their character skills through Character Strong. The teacher plays a role as a supportive guide, ensuring that students are well-prepared and confident in their presentations. It's only at the end of the conference that the teacher shares the traditional report card and attendance information. This unique approach not only empowers students to take ownership of their learning but also fosters greater engagement in their assessments and educational journey through the Middle School. The result has been increased attendance, as students and parents alike appreciate the opportunity to actively participate in the evaluation of their progress. The Kettle Falls School District's commitment to student-led conferences demonstrates their dedication to fostering a collaborative and student-centered learning environment.Student Led Conferences Student Led Conferences Student Led Conferences Student Led Conferences Student Led Conferences Student Led Conferences
