Kettle Falls Middle School

Eighth grade KFMS middle school student Jay Lawrence envisioned a club that would create a safe space with positive vibes where kids feel like they belong and have something to do. Jay presented the idea to Mrs. Vining, sought mentorship from a teacher, and created Card Club. Every Tuesday after school, 5th - 8th grade students meet up to learn new card games, laugh till they cry, have loads of fun, and develop new friendships.  Jay’s idea showed how students are living the KFMS Goal:  At KFMS we demonstrate kindness, responsibility, and teamwork, increasing our sense of belonging, growth mindset, and the value service plays in our lives,schools, and community. She worked with the staff to help students feel like they have a sense of belonging through kindness and teamwork.  Thank you Jay for your service to our school!
