At Kettle Falls Elementary, Fridays kick off with curiosity, teamwork, and a little friendly competition! Every Friday morning, our school starts the day with a Fun Fact Friday announcement paired with our Question of the Week.
This tradition is all about building classroom community and student engagement. Before turning in a single class answer, students participate in full morning discussions—sharing ideas, listening to peers, and solving the weekly puzzle together. The class that answers correctly earns the coveted Bulldog Spirit Trophy for the week and gets their class photo featured on our Hall of Fame board right at the front of the school!
We love seeing how this simple routine strengthens our students' sense of belonging and collaborative spirit. You can join in the fun at home, too—ask your child on Friday evening, "What was today's Fun Fact, and how did your class tackle the Question of the Week?"
