Kettle Falls families, next week is an exciting opportunity for our students to show everything they have learned and accomplished this year! SBAC testing will take place Monday, May 4th through Thursday, May 7th, and we want every child walking through our doors feeling confident, prepared, and ready to do their best.
As parents and caregivers, you play a huge role in setting your child up for success. In the days leading up to and during testing week, we encourage you to establish an early bedtime routine so your child gets plenty of rest each night. A well-rested mind is sharper, more focused, and better equipped to handle challenges. Each morning, send them off with a healthy, protein-rich breakfast — foods like eggs, yogurt, or peanut butter give the brain the fuel it needs to stay sharp and focused throughout the day.
Beyond the practical preparation, we also encourage you to offer words of encouragement. Remind your child that you are proud of them regardless of the outcome, and that this is simply a chance to show what they know.
We are incredibly proud of the growth, effort, and resilience our students have demonstrated throughout this school year. None of that progress happens without the support of our families, and we are deeply grateful for your continued partnership. Together, we are confident this will be a positive, focused, and successful week for every student at Kettle Falls.
