Every morning we start our day with a CREW meeting.  This is a time to welcome everyone to the classroom.  There is a different greeting every month of the year.  Students learn to shake hands, look each other in the eye and greet with a name.  The students also work on team building through an initiative.  Our job is to move the hula hoop around the circle without using our hands.  Our times have fluctuated from 2 minutes 20 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds.  After the initiative is over we discuss what strategies worked and what didn't for each round.  I can't wait to see how our CREW grows this year!
