Check out 2nd grades beautiful hallway mural based on their classroom literacy work. While reading the book The Dot, students discussed making their own mark and it’s connection to showing effort, wrote about the main character's feelings at the beginning, middle, and end and the central message (or lesson) of the story, and decided how to pass the message on to others by making a mural through the mediums of drawing and watercolor. Some other exciting 2nd Grade happenings include their first adventure of the year biking and rock balancing along the shores of Lake Roosevelt.
