Last week GEAR UP took a trip to the Spokane Community College to tour the Welding & Fabrication and the Industrial and Manufacturing Technology programs at the Colville Center. Students got a chance to check out different types of welding processes, tools and machines used in both programs including 3D printers and blueprint reading. Additionally, students got a look at what a typical day looks like as a Welding or IMT student and learned about possible job opportunities that are offered with each certification.
