Water Festival

The Elementary School’s Wednesday adventures are off to a great start with 3rd grade attending our local "Water Festival." Brought back by the combined efforts of our local parks services and tribal agencies to serve schools across Northeast Washington, students spent half the day at Locust Grove and half the day at the Sherman Creek Fish Hatchery learning about water topics such as water cycles, fish species, checking stream health, water safety, raising hatchery fish, invasive species, and the differences between predators, prey, and omnivores. The beautiful weather and engaging activities brought lots of excitement for these 3rd graders.
