International and Local Water Issues

Third graders have been learning about international and local water issues and how to contribute to a better world! On may 2nd, Third graders walked to Meyers Falls dam where they learned about how water is used for hydropower and electricity. Students also learned how scientists from the United States Geological Survey measure the depth and flow of the river, along with the importance of river safety! Thank you to Ben Hendrickson and the USGS for providing this great opportunity for our kids!
