Environmental Science

Mrs. Axtell and her 3rd period Environmental Science class went to the Meyers Falls Dam on April 25th and cleaned up various bottles and trash from the roadside. The class collected a large amount of trash, from cans to plastic and glass bottles. One goal of the project is to increase recycling, since much of the trash was recyclable. Another is an emphasis to raise awareness in teenagers of the risks of drinking and driving, and to just pick up trash to help improve the looks of a busy roadway.
