It was a huge celebration at KFES! As the students filed into the cafeteria, there was upbeat music playing, dancing and singing, and teachers in wigs. This, first ever WIG (Wildly Important Goal) Assembly, was the kickoff for revealing the school-wide vocabulary goal to the students. The students saw the data and learned about action steps that will help them achieve growth. To inspire the students, the teachers did a lip-sing and dance to the song, “Have A Go.” After the assembly, the students went back to their classrooms and took part in vocabulary activities. They also spent time setting class and independent goals. For the KFES students to meet their goal, at least 80% need to make one year of growth.
