How do you spell fun? C-H-O-I-R! Mr. Scarborough’s elective is Choir and he likes practicing, singing, and teaching it. Mr. Scarborough has always wanted kids to have an opportunity to be in choir. His class is working on cite-reading some songs and solfege. He wants students to do his class to build more than just an instrument program. Students can take his class for another trimester. There could be as many as the whole school taking his elective. If he did teach another elective he said it would be guitar or piano. He doesn’t need assistant nor has he been given one. He does encourage students to expand their knowledge outside of class. There is no free time in his elective, besides singing and practicing other songs. His first concert is December 5, 2018, if you would like to go see it. What he does for discipline is to either send a student to the office or write them up. But this happens rarely happens, Mr. Scarborough said. When he was younger, our new music director said he had also considered being a surgeon or a doctor.
