Mrs. Smith’s 2^ndgraders are strengthening their spatial reasoning skills.  Here they are playing a game called Q-bitz.  The object is to arrange the blocks so they match the card.  This is done by flipping, rotating, and turning the blocks.  The students can race, or just build at their own pace. Research shows there is a direct correlation to spatial reasoning and success in algebraic thinking, so these students are on their way to be amazing Mathematicians!
