The students have been learning how to play and work in the classroom.  They have created their very own play commitments to help them to play with others in the classroom.  The play commitment includes the following:

Mrs. Mckern trapped our Gingerbread Man and save the day!!!

 

Creating a Gingerbread man bridge.  

 

 

The first week of school was a success with children, they made a gingerbread man who went off on an adventure.  The students learned more about the school and the adults that work there as they searched for the runaway gingerbread man.  We also built a bridge to help the gingerbread man across the river.  

 

What a wonderful day.  We went on our first adventure and had a great time.  We rode the school bus, went on a scavenger hunt and made "homes" for squirrels.  It was an amazing day.  

The first 2 days of school we searched for the missing Gingerbread man and built him a bridge so that he could get to safety.  It was an exciting way to start the year

Kindergarten News: March 14, 2016

This week we will start our final product for mammals. We will be having a kindercafe and picking our mammals for our mammal stories.

Kindergarten News: February 29, 2016

This week we will be learning about the observable traits of a mammal.   The children have lots of background knowledge about mammals, it is fun to hear them notice, and wonder about the world around them. On Wednesday is our next Family Night, from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.  It will be an author theme night for Eric Carle. Please plan on attending it will be a fun event.

We will have a busy week. Tuesday is the 100^th day and Thursday is the Valentine’s Day Party. We will end the week with a 4 day weekend. A quick rest before we start into mammals.
