Walk the Talk means that we take responsibility to come up with solutions to problems, and when we do, we are leading by example. We know that a culture of accountability is the best culture to have. We also endorse the definition of accountability from Partners in Leadership, "a personal choice to rise above one's circumstances and demonstrate the ownership necessary for achieving Key Results; to See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It."
We want to demonstrate this belief everywhere we go. We want to take responsibility of our own learning, our own teaching, and our own results. Walk the Talk is blue. Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, and truth. Blue is strongly associated with tranquility and calmness. In heraldry, blue is used to symbolize piety and sincerity.
This page explains what Walk the Talk means, what it looks like, and where it is happening. This page contains links to videos, resources and a recognition blog that staff can use to recognize others who demonstrate this core belief that we have in Kettle Falls.
We believe that school culture is made up of experiences, beliefs and actions that we have on a daily basis with students, staff, parent and community members. We know that school culture can be improved. It is our goal to create the types of experiences that ultimately lead to our desired results--community support and district growth!
