COVID-19 Updates and Resources for Families and Students
All Schools Closed
Governor Inslee's stay at home order, which will be in place through at least April 6, is focused on slowing the spread of COVID-19. During this time, Kettle Falls School District will continue essential services including food distribution and learning supports.
Letter to Families
Good Evening Kettle Falls School District Families,
Thank you all so much for your patience as we continue to work through this incredible situation. We are getting new guidance on a daily basis and are continuing to modify our plans according to the information that we are receiving. This is our plan today. If things change, we will update you.
On Monday, we are starting to distribute meals to your students on their bus routes for out of town students, and at the elementary school and high school for students who live in town. If you don’t know what time to be at your students bus stop, please contact Mr. Eslick at 738-6625 ext. 601. Food will be handed out, curbside, at the elementary school and high school from 8:30-10:30 each day. Please make sure that your students are with you when you pick up the food.
Next week, teachers will start putting enrichment packets together for your students to work on during this break. Your child’s principal will let you know when to expect them. For students who live out of town, you can pick up the work at your students bus stop. If you live in town, you can pick up the work from 8:30 to 10:30, curb side like the meals. Students in grades K-8 can pick the work up the work from the elementary school, and students in grades 9-12 can pick the work up from the high school.
I know how challenging and frustrating this shutdown is. Taking a slow deep breath and focusing on our students will help us all get through the coming weeks together.
