    Welcome
My name is Tracy Flugel and I am the High School Counselor in Kettle Falls.  I have 3 sons ranging from a Freshman(Brayden) an 8th grader (Dawson), and a Kindergartener (Cooper).  My wife, Brandi, is a teacher at Colville High School.  I was born in Chewelah, I grew up on an Indian Reservation in Inchelium.  This was my father’s first teaching job.  I come from an entire family of educators and so it always made sense for me to get involved in the “family business.”  I like to coach youth programs, hunt, ski, snowboard, and camp.

    Expectations
I believe that all students are capable of learning… I think a lot of students learn differently.  I feel that our job as teachers and counselors is to be innovative in how we instill knowledge in our students.  I also think that there needs to be some level of conformity within our students and this means they may be expected to step outside of their comfort zones from time to time.  Ultimately, I feel my job as a Counselor is to prepare our students to be successful in the next chapter of their lives…. Whether that is four-year college, two-year college, trade schools and trade programs, or work.

KFSeal Kettle Falls School District EP&O Levy and Capital Levy for Security/Technology February 12, 2019

The purpose of an Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) levy is to provide general operating funds that supplement state and federal funding for public schools. Levies were intended to provide for extras beyond basic education, but have become a significant funding source for most school districts due to diminishing funding from the state and federal government.

The purpose of the capital levy for Security/ Technology is to pay for security and technology equipment including hardware and software. Although cameras have been installed in each building, there are limited outdoor cameras at the High School. Like the High School, we are also planning on installing a doorbell camera at the Middle School. The funds for technology will pay for educational software and scheduled network and security hardware and software upgrades.
