    English/Social Studies
I was born and raised in eastern Washington. I grew up in the Spokane Valley. Compared to today, it was a valley with more orchards, wheat fields, and alfalfa fields than houses. I graduated from Central Valley High School. I attended Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. While a student at Northwest, I played four years of collegiate volleyball. I tend to be little competitive at times especially when it comes to athletics. I earned a degree in Secondary Education – History/Social Studies and an additional endorsement in English.
I am married and have three children. My family and time spent with them is a priority in my life. I enjoy working outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, etc. I also enjoy watching movies and documentaries that are based on real life actual events.

    Class Expectations
People often times think I’m crazy to teach high school students, but I truly enjoy it.  This is a pivotal point in many students’ lives.  They are trying to figure out what to do after high school.  I want them to be prepared for school and for the ‘real world’.  I believe if students can make a connection between the content studied at school and to life in the ‘real world’, then that can only add to success.
